Jimmy Kimmel: #Dezzing & Tooth Fairy
Jimmy Kimmel showed off the results of his call for #Dezzing meme photos and revealed how much the average tooth is going for these days. Jim Parsons appeared on the show as well.
Jimmy Kimmel Live: #Dezzing Meme Photos
In advance, Kimmel apologized that this would not be the best hour of television ever seen. But he did show some viewer submissions parodying Desmond Bryant’s mug shot. The meme, called #Dezzing, required viewers to recapture Bryant’s unkempt pose, and results poured in.
Jimmy shared a slideshow of submissions set to “You Are You Beautiful,” from viewers of all ages. Naturally, the children were the best, but there was one older viewer who got in on the act, and the show threw in a picture of Honey Boo Boo’s Mama June for good measure.
Jimmy Kimmel: Tooth Fairy Average Amount
This was National Tooth Fairy Day, and the average amount of a reward for a child’s tooth has increased, from $2.10 in 2011 to $2.42 in 2012. Apparently this is a good indicator for the economy, per the Illinois Tooth Fairy poll spokesperson.
In South Carolina, authorities are searching for $19,000 in stolen Girl Scout cookies. There are no suspects in the case, but Kimmel said that there are shenanigans afoot on behalf of Honey Boo Boo, who was temporarily selling cookies via Facebook for a family friend.
Jimmy Kimmel: American Reality TV Perception
“Not sure the Boo Boo home would pass a health inspection,” Kimmel said. Here Comes Honey Boo Boo is expanding its international reach to include Italy, the Netherlands, and Latin America.
Kimmel shared a video compilation of American reality personalities, which presented a skewed and very specifically honed view of our culture. It’s something to think about, but I doubt it will affect viewership for Duck Dynasty.
Jimmy Kimmel Live: Michelle Obama Dr Oz
First Lady Michelle Obama was on Dr Oz, which led Kimmel to conclude that Dr Oz was weird, because he said he wished he had been at her colonoscopy. That is a strange thing to be interested in.
Pope Benedict became the first pope to retire in 600 years. Jimmy said that he is rumored to have bought a snake after cashing in his 401(k). He will be wearing simple garments for this new stage of his life.
Old People Read Retired Pope Tweets
Jimmy’s video of his final statements included the words, “See you, wouldn’t want to be you.” Then he flew away in a helicopter, “just like The Bachelor.” The pope has a helicopter pilot’s license, but never got a driver’s license.
His last tweet thanked supporters and encouraged them to put Christ in charge of their lives. Kimmel also shared some unofficial tweets read by older people, who were told these were real tweets.
- Finally saw the lineup at Coachella…I’m totally freaking out!
- Got offered “The Bachelor”…should I do it?
- Retweet if you like Leviticus and chili cheese fries.
