Kelly & Michael: Fox NFL Sunday Times Square
Michael Strahan was back to work at his weekend gig on Fox NFL Sunday, from Times Square in New York City, which he recapped during host chat on Live! with Kelly and Michael. Kelly and her husband Mark Consuelos sent him messages of support while he was on the way. This year’s football season will include the Manning Bowl and a Bruno Mars Super Bowl concert.
Michael and the Fox NFL gang agreed that it was a lot of fun to do the show from New York City instead of California. But it won’t be a permanent change, unfortunately for Strahan’s coast-to-coast commute.
Live! with Kelly and Michael: Manning Bowl + Bruno Mars Super Bowl
Michael Strahan and friends announced a Bruno Mars Super Bowl concert for the 2014 championship game. Ticket prices for the Manning Bowl are outrageous!
To start the season off, the New York Jets won their game. The Giants lost to the Cowboys, and Kelly said on Live! that there should be a “Strahan bat signal” so he could jump in and save the game when he is needed.
Next week is the Manning Bowl, when quarterback brothers play against one another. Tickets are going for up to $4,000 for seats on the 50-yard line.
Later in the season comes the Super Bowl, and Bruno Mars will be performing at the 2014 halftime show. Michael said Mars and his band performed on Fox NFL Sunday to announce their big gig, and the co-hosts couldn’t get enough of their attire or their talents.
Kelly said she loved having Michael’s weekend co-workers on Live! recently, and he said they enjoyed her and her ability to keep the show under control.
Live! with Kelly and Michael: Serena Williams US Open Winner
Serena Williams won her fifth US Open on September 8. She was a guest on Live! to talk about her latest trophy, which Michael Strahan got to hold during Host Chat. He threatened to keep the trophy, which represented “her 17th Grand Slam singles title.”
Kelly Ripa recommended a documentary about the Williams sisters, which she said all kids should watch, so they could be inspired. I would guess she is talking about Venus & Serena.
