Today Show: Joe Torre’s Daughter Catches Falling Child
A woman was walking through Brooklyn when a baby fell into her arms. The child fell from a fire escape and only sustained cuts and bruises. The heroic woman was Christina Torre, legendary catcher for the New York Yankee’s Joe Torre’s daughter! She said she was just in the right place at the right time. Luckily, the little boy hit an awning on his way down which helped to slow his fall. Torre was sitting across the street at a cafe when she saw the child slip and she ran over to catch him.
Joe Torre said that it was fortunate someone saw and he was glad that his daughter was able to help.
The founder of Men’s Wearhouse, George Zimmer was fired by board of directors. They are figuring out what part he will play as the voice of the brand.
Today: School Photo Retaken to Include Student with Muscular Dystrophy
One mom is standing up against a school photo. Miles has spinal muscular dystrophy and is in a wheelchair. In his elementary class photo, Miles was forced to sit on the edge and lean in to the class, who were centered on some bleachers. He clearly looks separated and this outraged his mother. The class retook the photo and Miles was able to sit in the front row, supported by his caregiver and included in the shot. The school was very sorry for the first photo and wanted to set an example.

Bulletproof Coffee follows the paleo-diet, which means consuming mostly animals proteins and fats. This coffee has a unique twist in it, in that it uses butter! The point is to get rid of the calorie filled cream and go natural. Drinkers say that the butter gives you an extra jolt of energy as well.
Today Show: Founder of Men’s Wearhouse Fired
In the 1970s, George Zimmer was just a hippie that dressed well. He started Men’s Wearhouse with just $7,000 and a van as a store. Today, the iconic “You’re gonna like the way you look” store is booming, but Zimmer is no longer a part of his brand. The Men’s Wearhouse board of directors voted to fire the face and voice of the brand this week. Both sides have been mum on why Zimmer got the boot.
Zimmer said in a statement that he had been raising concerns about the direction the company was going, but the board chose to “inappropriately silence my concerns through termination.”
