Celine Dion‘s husband and manager Rene Angelil is recovering from a recent surgery with Throat Cancer. This is his second bout with Cancer. He was first diagnosed in 1999. Dr. Rachael said there are a couple of things that put you at risk for Throat Cancer. Smoking and tobacco use and alcohol are both things that increase your chance of getting throat cancer.
Some signs of Throat Cancer include difficulty swallowing and hoarse swallowing. If you notice any difficulty swallowing, it’s very important to get it checked out because it could be something very important.
The Doctors: Frankie Muniz Mini-Stroke
Frankie Muniz, the star of Malcolm In The Middle, is only 28 years old, but he just had his second scare with a Mini-Stroke. He attributes what happened to him as stress and the hard work of being an actor in Hollywood.
Dr. Travis said that it’s not normal for someone so young to suffer from this condition. A Transient Ischemic Attack (TIA), or Mini-Stroke, should not be brought on by stress at the age of 28.
The Doctors: What Is A Transient Ishemic Attack?
The symptoms of TIA are sudden vision changes, difficulty speaking, severe headache, and numbness, tingling, weakness, or paralysis in your face, arms, or legs. Dr. Travis Stork said that he was really shocked that someone so young was having these and to him, there’s something else going on here.
Dr. Travis said that if someone his age came into the ER with Stroke-like symptoms, he would look at something called Dissection. Dissection is when the arteries that send blood to your brain are dissected and shunt blood away from the critical areas of your brain and the patient ends up with a unique form of Stroke.
