Kelly & Michael: New Baby
Kelly Ripa’s friend’s daughter was in labor on October 1. This is Willie Ranhdolph’s second grandchild. There have been so many babies lately! Kelly might be a good luck charm. Her friend was the first person to see all of her kids.
Kelly & Michael: Orthodontist
Kelly spent the day at the orthodontist with her kids. That sounds miserable. Joaquin needs braces, Lola needs to wear her retainer at night, and Michael doesn’t need to wear his retainer anymore. Michael Strahan doesn’t want to go to the dentist or mess with his teeth. Nobody else wants him to do that either. His gap is one of his biggest characteristics.
Kelly & Michael: Tethered Review

There’s a new show called Tethered where two strangers are dropped off and tethered together, but they’re six feet apart. It all started from Survivor and is in the same vein as Naked and Afraid and Dating Naked. You still have to survive things, climb, and swim, but now you have to do it with the person you’re tethered to. One guy was a Navy SEAL and his partner was a yoga guy. That must have been so frustrating for both of them.
Kelly & Michael: Hairball in Teen Girl
Doctors recently removed a nine pound hairball from a teen girl’s stomach. That’s horrible. Why would they want to talk about that? Plus, isn’t that a cat thing? Her parents said that she couldn’t eat or drink anything without becoming violently ill, and X-rays showed that she had a giant hairball blocking her digestive track. She actually started losing weight because she couldn’t digest anything. It’s probably a nervous habit for her to eat her hair. She’s okay, but she would have died from extreme malnutrition and dehydration if they hadn’t have performed the surgery.
Kelly & Michael: Heckling Athletes
Why would people heckle an athlete at a sporting event? There was a Knicks fan that was heckling Carmelo Anthony and was removed from the game. Then he eventually got fired from his job because he was arrested. He said he only said, “Carmelo you stink,” but that’s only how it started out. He said some bad things.
The guy is now suing for his right for him to trash talk at sporting events. It’s a freedom of speech thing, but there are also kids there. Michael’s been heckled, so he knows about these things. It’s a motivation to him. “You paid to see me,” he said. There are some things that go too far though. They even talk about your family. People think they’re anonymous, but you’re insulting someone and it’s about respect.
There have been some great heckles though. Michael’s favorite was a chant when they played the Jets. They were changing “orthodontist.” Kelly remembered doing a taped piece where they taped a good luck message. Regis was excited, but Kelly thought they were going to get heckled, and they got booed.

Hey my friend Jim, from Virginia email me and told me he heard you talking about the show, “Tethered” today and I just wanted to say I’m the Yoga guy, Willow Jon from the premier episode. If you want to do an interview I think that would be fine I just have to OK it with Discovery. Peace.
