Lisa, a mother of two, claimed she had been waiting ask her embarrassing health question since the days Dr Oz was on Oprah. She said she has ingrown hair on her chin that are painful, and doesn’t know how to get rid of it. Dr Oz explained that there are hair follicles on your skin and women get peach fuzz on their chin. Sometimes they get darker hair as well, and Lisa said if that happens to her she plucks them out.
But sometimes when you pluck the hair, you can pull them out without actually getting the base of the hair out. That area can then build up, swell, and become painful. From now on, Dr Oz suggested she place a warm towel on top of the irritated area to warm the skin. Then, try to pluck out the rest of the hair by getting into the pimple.
Dr Oz: Night Flatulence
Next, Dr Oz heard from a man who had an embarrassing question to ask about his wife. Bruce shared that his wife Hazel farts while she sleeps and it’s loud and smells. Hazels was incredibly embarrassed, but Dr Oz explained that it was likely something called night flatulence. Dr Oz explained that you have food that is being digested by bacteria inside your colon. As it does that, the gas collects and every once in a while you’ll let it go.
If you have a lot of food later in the day, when you go to sleep, you relax and all that gas is released at once. Dr Oz said most of us do this five to seven times a night. To treat nighttime flatulence, Dr Oz gave Bruce some ear plugs and asked Hazel not to eat within three hours of going to sleep.
