Jimmy Fallon: Rangers Win Game 4
Jimmy Fallon talked about some great news. The New York Rangers beat the Los Angeles Kings to stay alive in the Stanley Cup finals in game four. Fallon said in hockey they say that they’re “hanging on by the skin of their tooth,” which was gross and hilarious. The series is going back to LA.
Fallon said that the Rangers played extra hard because they were scared that if they lost in New York they’d have to face Joey Clams. He played a video of him again and did an impersonation. “No stereotypes in New York,” Fallon said. The Rangers’ season would have ended if they lost. The King’s came so close to scoring in the last minute. Fallon showed a clip. It was so close! “It looked like he was gonna score, but he didn’t, which was also my high school yearbook quote,” Fallon said. He showed his yearbook photo. That was such a great joke.
Tonight Show: World Cup Starts
Today was the start of the World Cup. “It’s that special time of the year when Americans in bars go, ‘I guess we’re watching this now,’” Fallon said. That was so true. They would rather watch a lumberjack competition.
Jimmy Fallon: Cheerleading Is A Sport
The American Medical Association has just come out to say that cheerleading should count as a sport because of the skill and training that goes into it. “Then LeBron’s teammates said, ‘See, we are athletes!’” This was so funny.
Tonight Show: President Obama is a Cool Dad
Father’s Day is coming up. In a new interview, President Obama said that he’s a fun dad who teeters on the edge of embarrassing his kids. “Nothing says you’re a fun dad like saying you’re a fun dad,” Fallon said. This is so true.
Jimmy Fallon: Eric Cantor Loses Primary
House Majority Leader Eric Cantor lost the Virginia primary to a Tea Party candidate. This was a huge deal. Cantor’s campaign spent more money on steakhouses than his opponent spent on his entire campaign. “Or, as my guest tonight put it, ‘So? What’s wrong with that?’” Fallon said. He was talking about New Jersey Governor Chris Christie. He had mentioned at the beginning of the show that he was going to make a lot of Christie jokes and that he’d be in trouble later. It was great though. Fallon then said he was talking about Chris Rock because he loves steak.
Tonight Show: Hashtag the Panda
An artist put 600 paper mache pandas in a Hong Kong airport for an art instillation. Fallon said don’t confuse that with American airports, which have 600 Panda Expresses. Hashtag the Panda came out. I love this guy! They made him dance a couple of times. He got dizzy and had to hold onto the wall. Fallon loved it.
