Today: TSA Screeners Not Doing Their Job?
How well are TSA screeners doing their jobs to protect us at the airport? Not that well, apparently. A new government study showed that reports of misconduct have spiked 27 percent between 2010 and 2012.
Violations by these agents have included sleeping on the job, letting family members bypass scanners, theft, and leaving work without permission. More than 1,900 violations were deemed serious enough to pose security threats. The union that supports these workers, however, shows that, despite the numbers, it still shows that a large amount of them are still doing their jobs.

A new study has shown that TSA screeners haven’t been doing their jobs, which has created security risks.
Hawaii is going to be kicking off a program that gives homeless people a one-way ticket off to eligible vagrants of the island and back to the mainland. The government is hoping that the program will help them save on programs that would help provide food and shelter to the homeless, but critics are saying that it could allow opportunist to buy a ticket to paradise, knowing that they will be guaranteed a ticket home. Mayor Bloomberg took a similar initiative a few years ago.

Vanity Fair‘s 74th annual poll of the most fashionable people is out. Al Roker agreed on Justin Timberlake. Savannah Guthrie picked Jenna Lyons, the president and creative director for J. Crew. Jenna told Vanity Fair that her favorite article of clothing is all versions of a white shirt. Matt Lauer picked musician Keith Richards, who will be turning 70 this year.
Another pick was Kerry Washington, the actress best known for her work in the show Scandal. Kate Middleton made it on the list for the fourth time, while Beyonce made it on the list for the first time.
Today Show: High-Wire Record Setter
A high-wire acrobat has set a new record by walking between two hot air balloons in China. The video of the acrobat can be see on YouTube. It took the 40-year-old 38 seconds to walk the 59-foot, 2-inch-wide wire between the balloons.
