Today Show: The Cast Of Jersey Shore
Today, Ney Jersey’s Governor Christie hosted the grand reopening of the boardwalk in Jersey Shore, and Today Show paid the event a visit. The cast of Jersey Shore talked about what they did to help out last year when Hurricane Sandy struck the Jersey Shore. After the storm hit, they ran a relief effort with MTV, and they were all astounded by the amount of change that the shore has undergone since then. Pauly D, one of the cast members, said that the Jersey Shore has always been a happy place, and when he came here last year, that was not the case. An eery silence had been cast over what was before a bustling, joyful crowd of beachgoers, and he thought it was awful. He was happy to see that the shore is back to where it was before the storm hit.
Today Show: Joe Pantoliano
Actor and author Joe Pantoliano, who has written Asylum and been in movies such as Memento and The Matrix grew up in the Jersey Shore, and he shared some of his memories today. One of his most vivid memories was being able to spend an entire evening on the boardwalk with nothing but a dollar as a kid. There was a pinball machine that he knew how to set up so he didn’t have to tilt it that he would always come to.
Joe Pantoliano felt a very strong sense that people didn’t lay down. When Governor Christie told him that they would be back by memorial day last he, Joe didn’t believe it. Standing on the boardwalk that looks like the same one he walked on 30 years ago, though, he can’t believe that they pulled it off.
Today Show: Kupper’s And Other Eateries On The Boardwalk
Up and down the boardwalk is a potpourri of different flavors. There are the fried oreos at Kupper’s, the signature tomato swirl pizza at Maruca’s, and the fresh oysters at beachcombers. Kohr’s is the place to go for your frozen delights at dessert, and you might find yourself going in for round two with the saltwater taffy at Berkeley’s, where you will find every flavor of the gooey treat imaginable.
The cast came by with the first lady of Jersey to sample all of the different foods, and probably shortened all of their lives while doing it.
