Today Show: Preakness Stakes
The 139th Preakness Stakes are taking place in Baltimore, Maryland the weekend of May 16-18 2014. The big question is if the horse California Chrome will win the race. California Chrome won the Kentucky Derby, and if he wins the Preakness Stakes he will be the first horse to win a triple crown in 36 years. The owner paid just $10,500 for him, and usually horses of this level cost $1 million. He had a cough earlier in the week, but after visiting the vet it seems like he’ll be fine for the races.
