Today Show: Martha Stewart Picture Frame Ideas
The Today Show invited Martha Stewart on the set to give them some great ideas for making original picture frames. From using wood as a picture frame to using pictures to spell out words, Martha Stewart had some great ideas for picture frames.
Today Show: Homemade Accordion Picture Frames
To make a homemade accordion picture frame, Stewart said it is best to head to the craft supply store and pick up as many art boards as you want, depending on how long you want the accordion frame to be. If you are extra handy, you can cut the boards yourself from a piece of thick wood.
After purchasing the art boards or cutting the wood, the next thing you want to do is paint the edges of the wood. Next, choose a photo that fits nicely on the wood, all the way to the edges or as close as possible. Use Mod Podge to glue on the picture. Finally, use the small hinges you picked up at the art supply store and screw them into a second piece of art board with another picture attached.
Today Show: Acrylic Picture Frames
To make the acrylic picture frames, you will need to purchase two large acrylic frames. After you have printed out the pictures you want to be on the frame, place them in a design or spell out a word on the acrylic frame. Simply use double-sided tape to keep the pictures in place and seal the second acrylic frame over the first by using the suggested instructions on the back of the packaging.
Today Show: Cardboard and Ribbon Picture Frames
To assemble the cardboard and ribbon picture frames, glue a picture in the middle of a piece of cardboard mat, leaving enough room for ribbon to be placed on the mat as well. Next, tape ribbon around the four edges of the picture and slip the completed mat inside a glass picture frame.
