Danielle Bradbery Wins The Voice at 16
Before coming on The Voice, 16-year-old Danielle Bradbery said she was very shy. She sang to the walls in her bedroom and didn’t think that singing in front of millions would ever happen for her. When she won the competition this week, Bradbery sparkled brighter than any star in a blush colored gown. Runner up Michelle Chamuel gave her a big hug and was all smiles, while Team Captain and mentor Blake Shelton got the greatest birthday gift with her win. This is the third season that Blake has won.
Danielle said that going on the show was very scary, but she did it and became an inspiration to many. This week, Bradbery is still on cloud nine. She just signed with Taylor Swift’s record label and is thinking about her debut album. She wants to do pop country, but she might dabble in all genres. She got to perform with one of her favorite artists, Hunter Hayes, on the finale.
Hayes is performing on Today and he presented Danielle with her first Martin OM guitar. He called it “a songwriter’s best friend” and his favorite guitar. Soon, she’ll be writing and recording nonstop. For now, Danielle Bradbery is finishing online school and preparing to be a junior. She’s really living a teenage dream.
The Real Life Bling Ring: Alexis Neirs Celebrates Sobriety
A group of Hollywood teenagers obsessed with fame, celebrities, and luxurious lifestyles became known as The Bling Ring. They broke into the homes of Paris Hilton, Lindsay Lohan, and many other stars. The teens ransacked the homes, trying on clothes, playing with pets, lounging in the pools, and even taking some souveniers. Now, Sophia Coppola has taken the real life Bling Ring and brought them to the big screen. Bling Ring opens this week, starring Emma Watson, and Today investigated the inspiration behind the characters.
Alexis Neirs was made the face of the Bling Ring. She starred in E!’s Pretty Wild, showing off her wealth and lifestyle for the cameras. Neirs never thought that she would be behind bars in the series finale. She pleaded no contest to burglary and spent a month in jail. Surprisingly, she now said that this was the best thing that ever happened to her.
After her jail time, police found black tar heroin in her home and she was sent to a year in rehab. She’s celebrating over two years sober and her 180 lifestyle. She believes her story will show others that they can change.
