Kathie Lee & Hoda: Baby Room Decoration
Kathie Lee and Hoda did a fabulous segment on the Today Show to teach everyone how to decorate a baby’s room / nursery both reasonably and in style. Whether you want to add your baby’s name or initials to the wall or add a cute stencil pattern to the paint in the room, they have the best ideas! They even found an Oversized Safety Pin Hanger that you can hang on the wall to hold baby’s blankets! Plus, since baby bumpers are a major no-no these days, they discovered baby sheets (the Skip Hop Complete Sheet) that have patterns on the side so that you can still have cute decoration “peering” out from in-between the “slots” of the crib. Even the crib they found (Babyletto Mercer 3-in-1 Convertible Crib) has amazing reviews! I know plenty of parents who spend a fortune on Baby Room Decorations, but why do that when you can have a perfect baby’s nursery for a fraction of the cost? And perhaps best of all, by doing it yourself, you can customize everything to be exactly how you want it.
Craft Cuts Wooden Letters Review
We have all seen the cute baby’s rooms with the child’s name written out (or at least with the initials proudly shown on the wall).
Well, Kathie Lee & Hoda showed wooden letters from Craft Cuts on the Today Show. Craft Cuts will let you actually pick the exact font and letters that you like, and they will customize it to your taste before shipping it out. You can even pick out colors you want on the letters (or you can paint them yourselves … or you could even just use plain wood for a more natural look…). Brilliant idea from CraftCuts.com!
Posh Tots Stencil Review
The Today Show also had an example of what it looks like when you use a stencil to make a trim pattern using paint around a baby’s nursery. You can choose from all different sorts of patterns (from fleur-de-lis stencils to girly crowns to more neutral “northern stars” and starfish stencils). Though I have to say, only the “Northern Star” stencil seems to be $10 like Kathie Lee & Hoda mentioned… the ones that I like the best all seem to be in the $40-$50 range, with the Provence Damask Stencil running $250!!! That is definitely not in most people’s budgets! I wonder why that stencil costs so much more than the other patterns … and I also am curious as to who is actually paying $250 for a wall stencil? (Available at poshtots.com).
Safety Pin Wall Hanger: Distinctive Nurseries Review
One of the more unique items that Kathie Lee and Hoda presented on the Today Show was the Oversized Safety Pin Wall Hanger by Glenna Jean at Distinctive Nurseries. It looks just like a huge safety pin that was once used to hold together cloth diapers (though few people use those anymore these days!), but it is giant-sized and hangs on the wall as a place to hang your baby’s blankets, towels, clothes, or anything else you can dream up.
Babyletto Mercer 3-in-1 Convertible Crib Review
The white crib that Kathie Lee and Hoda had on the Today Show was the Babyletto Mercer 3-in-1 Convertible Crib. If you are new to the baby crib market, you will soon find out that the big “thing” these days is to have a crib that converts from a baby crib to a toddler bed to a full-size “big person’s” bed. The Babyletto Mercer has a great price point (coming in at just under $400) and will take your child all the way through his or her teenage years. Still not sure? Check out the stellar reviews this crib received here: Babyletto Reviews.
Skip Hop Sheets with Built-In Bumper Pattern
And perhaps the most genius product yet … what do you do to make your baby’s crib pretty now that using bumpers are dangerous for your little one? Kathie Lee and Hoda showed these Skip Hop Sheets on the Today Show that add excitement to your baby’s crib. The sides of the sheets have a pattern so that the crib still looks fun and decorated from the outside. Not sure how this is possible? Check out these sheets: Skip Hop Built-In Bumper Sheets.
