Kathie Lee & Hoda: Apaltagua Carmenere Rose + Casual Summer Wines
The first wines they looked at were wines that would work great for casual events. They said you absolutely can’t have summer without rose. One great rose wine you should try is 2013 Apaltagua Carmenere Rose from Central Valley, Chile. It costs $10 per bottle and they said it’s a beautiful dry rose that’s light and refreshing and goes with everything.

Kathie Lee & Hoda: Dinner Party Wines + 2012 E. Guigal Cotes Du
Next, Sbrocco and Isle shared wines that are great for your summer dinner parties. One option is 2012 E. Guigal Cotes Du from Rhone Blanc for $14.00. It’s a slightly more formal, light and lovely wine.
Or you can try 2012 Kim Crawford Pinot Noir from South Island, New Zealand. At just $15 a bottle, it’s a terrific elegant wine.
Kathie Lee & Hoda: Summer Champagne
What if you’re looking for a festive toast? Sbrocco and Isle shared two great champagne options.
You can tryNV Laurent Perrier Champagne from Brut LP for $35. They said it’s a little more expensive but an all purpose champagne.
Or if you don’t want to go as upscale, you can try Chandon Blanc de Noirs “American Summer” from California for just $8. It’s limited edition but you can drink it out of the little bottles. They’re adorable too! The red, white, and blue labels are perfect for July 4!
Kathie Lee & Hoda: I Love My Dad Because…
Kathie Lee and Hoda asked their viewers to send in videos sharing why they love their dads.
The videos were absolutely adorable and some of the reasons the kids said they love their dads included “he lets me stay up a night to watch the news”, “he makes me hamburgers”, “he works hard for our whole family”, and “he tucks me into bed and helps me with my homework”.
“I couldn’t have a better dad in the entire world or the universe,” said one girl.
Everyone loves their own dads for their own reasons. I especially love my dad because he taught me the meaning of hard work and perseverance and has shown me not to give up when things get hard.
