Kathie Lee & Hoda: Ambush Makeovers For Women Over 60
It’s about the be Kathie Lee’s 60th birthday, so Hoda and her arranged to give makeovers to women already over 60 in honor of her upcoming birthday. People Stylewatch‘s Jill Martin and celebrity stylist Louis Licari came on the show to assist in the makeovers, featuring dresses by NUE, Kendra Scott earrings, and an Enid O. makeup review.

73-year-old Queens dweller Sherri had a hip replacement nine years ago. During that time, she started tying her hair back in a ponytail and hasn’t stopped tying it back since, so she was in need of an update. Three generations of Sherri’s family showed up to support her, because though she looked amazing at 73, Sherri still needed some help. Sherri thought it was a great idea and said that she wanted to “step it up.”
Sherri’s update was dramatic. She went from tied back hair, jeans, and a yellow sweater just hanging off her body to a black NUE dress with a thick white stripe running down the middle, a short and straight hairdo, and some trendy glasses to top it all off.
According to Jill Martin, Sherri’s NUE dress had built-in undergarments. The makeover also included earrings by Kendra Scott. Sherri was happy with the results, and her family was also impressed with the results. They were actually a little speechless.

Next was was 64-year-old Barbara from Springfield, Virginia. She was on cloud nine when approached, because she watches the show every day and never dreamed that she would be picked. She never does anything with herself in terms of beauty, and was anxious to get an update. She had her niece, a few friends, and her husband Robert with her to provide a little support.
The new Barbara was absolutely gorgeous. Sporting a leather black dress by NUE with a black belt, brand new color in her hair, and a little bit of makeup from Enid O. Her husband was clearly swept off his feet by his wife’s new look, because they hugged right and kissed right on set. Jill said that she threw Robert a bone by using a leather dress, and what guy doesn’t like a girl in leather?
