Today Show: Kathie Lee & Hoda
On “Wines day Wednesday”, co-hosts Kathie Lee Gifford and Hoda Kotb opened up The Today Show with a laundry list of new studies. Ranging from bathroom germs to white wine, a few of them were pretty disturbing and the co-hosts often disagreed with the findings. Form your own opinions and check out the studies below:
Today Show: Right vs. Left Side of Bed
A new study shows that the side of the bed you wake up on can make your whole day. Wake up on the left-hand side? You’ll end up happy, more cheerful, positive, and capable of a heavy workload. The right side: you’ll make more money but won’t be as happy. Kathie Lee says that husband Frank Gifford wakes up on the right side and doesn’t even work anymore, so she isn’t buying the study one bit. What do you think?
Today Show: Bathroom Paper Towel Germs
Another new study shows that Paper Towel Bacteria is prevalent in public restrooms — they contain binding ingredients like starches and fillers that store nasty germs. Kathie Lee and Hoda were convinced that if you didn’t want to get a flu bug or bacteria, it’s hazmat time!
Today Show: Toilet Paper Bacteria
More bad news: studies show that toilet paper on the roll is also contaminated because toilet “stuff” goes into air after flushed. The bacteria can float around in the air for 10-20 minutes, meaning your trip to the public restroom more than likely contains bacteria from the last person to use the stall. It sounds like there just isn’t a winning solution for germ-free restroom visits.
Today Show: Overused Words
Kathie Lee and Hoda continued unveiling new studies with a list of words that should be banished for 2012 due to a change in meaning from their original intent. Other words have just been simply overused. The list goes like this: amazing, baby bump, shared sacrifice, blow back, man cave, thank you in advance. What are your thoughts on these words? Any others that need to get the axe? Leave your thoughts in the comments section.
Today Show: White Wine with Cheese
Having a wine and cheese party? A new study shows that White Wine With Cheese works better than the usual red wine — it’s more mellow and versatile. The Today Show’s very own Sara took a blindfolded taste test and still preferred the red wine, but admitted she wasn’t much of a connoisseur. People began flooding the show with texts and it seems that people in general are skeptical of this new wine pairing. Which wine do you prefer with cheese? Leave your preference in the comments section below.
