Kathie Lee & Hoda: George Clooney Kiss
The Today Show co-hosts Kathie Lee Gifford and Hoda Kotb shared a Yahoo Survey that determined who most men and women wanted to kiss for New Years as the ball drops. George Clooney, actor in the “American” and “Up in the Air”, came in as the #1 man — no surprise there. Johnny Depp, known for his role in the “Pirates of the Caribbean” franchise, came in second and Kathie Lee quickly pointed out that the two men draw a different kind of woman. She would personally love to kiss Hugh Jackman, assuming husband Frank Gifford wasn’t around. Hoda was swayed with Kathie Lee’s choice after initially wanting to go with Clooney.
Men, on the other hand, would like to kiss Jennifer Aniston, who was recently named sexiest woman of all time. Halle Berry followed Aniston at number two.
Who would you never bring home for the holidays? Snookie and Charlie Sheen were by far the big winners (or losers) in this category. People want to party with Seth Rogen, which seemed a little out of left field.
Today Show: Stress From Passenger Seat
Is your stress level elevated if your boyfriend or husband is in the passenger street? Studies say yes, men usually feel the need to offer unsolicited commentary when they are not driving. Kathie Lee drove husband Frank Gifford to and from the movies after he hurt his leg. He told her everything she was doing wrong, so Kathie Lee certainly agrees!
However, it doesn’t raise a man’s stress level. Men are always in control, Hoda said, and won’t even ask for directions. Most are willing to drive around in circles, often times acting like they are in control before succumbing to any kind of directional advice. Speaking of which, Hoda doesn’t like GPS units and says they tell her when to turn as she’s already passing the street. Sounds like she’s officially over this bit of technology. I personally don’t mind GPS units, but often times prefer an old fashioned map? What do you think? Leave your thoughts in the comments section below.
Today Show: World’s Most Visited Tourist Attractions
Travel & Leisure compiled a list of the world’s most Popular Tourist Attractions. Check them out below:
#5) Niagara Falls
#4) Las Vegas
#3) Union Station in Washington DC
#2) Central Park in New York City
#1) Times Square in New York City
I’m admittedly a little surprised with the list. I know Paris is the most visited city in the world, so how can the Eiffel Tower not make the list? All five are United States locales as well, which was a little shocking.
Hoda: Janelle Monae “Tightrope”
Hoda’s song for this Thursday was “Tightrope” by Janelle Monae, which was played on the set along with a dancing My Keepon toy. The toy didn’t really keep up with the beat, but it looked like a fun gift for kids nonetheless. Kathie Lee was far from impressed with the song, calling it “terrible!”
