Kathie Lee & Hoda: New Year’s Resolutions
Is it OK to be overly optimistic with your New Year’s Resolutions? Kathie Lee says flat out, it’s a bad idea. Yet Hoda thinks it’s completely fine – they are meant to be made and broken. Her resolutions for years have been to clean her purse, lose ten pounds, and get organized. Kathie Lee thinks Hoda doesn’t need to lose weight at all, but could stand to get organized.
Today Show: YouTube Videos 2011 Best
Check out the 2011 Best Youtube Videos summaries, as seen on The Today Show with Kathie Lee Gifford and Hoda Kotb.
In the opener, a baby got a laugh out of his Dad’s job rejection letter. The dad kept ripping up pieces of the letter and the baby kept going wild, laughing hysterically! The story had a happy ending as the dad found a new job. He’s now the editor for an educational company.
Next up: a son caught his dad dancing to Britney Spears “Toxic” on the Nintendo Wii. He was really breaking it down!
My favorite video: Six Katy Perry fans – all guys, which is the kicker – got snowed in at a college dorm and sang “Firework” off of her album “Teenage Dream”.
To cap off the best videos of the year, Zola the dancing Gorilla spun around on his fists and showed off his best break dancing skills. Impressive moves!
Today Show: 2012 Movie Previews
Jess Cagle from Entertainment Weekly dropped by the set for a 2012 Movie Preview.
Mirror Mirror Movie Preview
Two big Snow White movies are coming out: “Mirror Mirror” with Julia Roberts (the lighter, funnier options) and “Snow White and the Huntsman” with Charlize Theron (the darker, moodier option).
Spiderman Movie Preview
Surprise surprise, more “Spiderman” movies. They’re essentially starting the series over again and using Andrew Garfield as the superhero, while actress Emma Stone plays the leading lady.
The Avengers Movie Preview
“The Avengers” is the ultimate comic book movie for geeks and features a plethora of superheroes from the last ten years.
John Carter Movie Preview
“John Carter” is a family film about a civil war soldier who gets transported to Mars. The plot seems a little farfetched, but Pixar has entered the world of live action movies and is creating the film. Remember, Pixar made “Finding Nemo” and “A Bug’s Life”, so there is hope, even with the cheesy plot.
Rock of Ages Movie Preview
Next up, Tom Cruise grows out his hair for an 80s big hair, big music film called “Rock of Ages”.
The Hunger Games Movie Preview
Rounding out the cast, “The Hunger Games” takes an incredibly popular book series and starts rolling out the movies. I’m sure the producers will be incredibly happy if the films are even half as successful as the “Harry Potter” series.
What are you most looking forward to? I’ve read “The Hunger Games” and can only hope the movies do the books justice. Leave your most anticipated movie for 2012 in the comments section below.
