Kathie Lee & Hoda: Channel Changes + Rangers Win
Hoda shared that last night she came home in a rush to watch the end of the Rangers game on NBC Sports, only to find that the channels weren’t the same. She said she realized all the channels were different and was so confused.
The good news, she said, was that she was able to see the end of the game where the Kings could have tied the game, but the puck seemingly just sat at the edge of the goal line and didn’t go in, so the Rangers won.
Kathie Lee & Hoda: Paula Deen Comeback
Kathie Lee and Hoda shared that Paula Deen is now making a comeback with a subscription-based online network called The Paula Deen Network that will start up September 2014. Paula Deen shared that she was offered a show on a different network, but wanted to be in control.
Kathie Lee and Hoda pointed out that she made a mistake and paid for it, but she had a population of people that stayed loyal to her. She learned a painful and expensive lesson, but will soon be making her big comeback.
Kathie Lee & Hoda: 3 Reasons to Watch The World Cup
The World Cup starts today and Kathie Lee and Hoda shared “three beautiful reasons you should watch”. The third reason is Cristiano Ronaldo who plays for Real Madrid. The second reason is Gerard Pique who plays for FC Barcelona and is the father of Shakira’s baby. The number one reason you should watch the World Cup is Cesc Fabregas who plays for FC Barcelona.
Kathie Lee and Hoda also shared that there have been reports that even after the 7 years they had to prepare, Brazil is still not ready for the event.
Kathie Lee & Hoda: Mila Kunia Hates the Phrase “We’re Pregnant”
Mila Kunis was on Jimmy Kimmel Live when Jimmy told Mila he and his wife are pregnant and having a baby very soon as well. Mila responded by saying “oh you both are having a baby, you and your wife are both pregnant.”
She then made a “public announcement” saying “Hello, I’m Mila Kunis with a very special message to all you soon to be fathers. Stop saying we’re pregnant… When you wake up and throw up, is it because you’re nurturing a human life? No, it’s because you had too many shots of tequila… You’re not pregnant, we are.” Kathie Lee said she thinks there’s something sweet about it and if you’re a good partner you’re going through those episodes with your pregnant partner.
Kathie Lee & Hoda: Father Joins Daughter in Crib
Kathie Lee and Hoda shared a video of a father climbing into his eleven-month-old daughter’s crib. He was caught on the baby cam and now the video has over 10 million views.
Kathie Lee and Hoda made a point to say they don’t recommend climbing into the crib with your baby. Kathie Lee said “every expert said you have to let them cry”. As a first time mom, I’m still learning this, but I can’t say I would ever actually crawl into the crib with my son!?
Kathie Lee & Hoda: “It Ain’t Yours to Throw Away” + Clogs Are Back?
Hoda shared a song from the show Nashville that she said was about someone having a calling in life and then deciding maybe it wasn’t for them but being encouraged by someone to keep at it anyway. The song is called “It Ain’t Yours to Throw Away” and the main chorus of the song goes, “What if you’re just a vessel, and God gave you something special. It ain’t yours to throw away.” It truly has a great message, and as Kathie Lee pointed out, it starts off acoustically which just sounds beautiful.
Kathie Lee and Hoda also shared that according to Vogue Magazine, clogs are back and they’re the shoe for summer. The wood bottom, leather top style shoes are supposedly their favorite shoe, but I have to say I’m just not a fan.
