Kathie Lee & Hoda: Danielle and Phillip Lovato
Danielle Lovato certainly hasn’t had it easy, as Kathie Lee & Hoda learned. She’s a mom to two sets of twins under the age of three, but even more than that, she’s a military wife and mom. Her husband, Phillip Lovato has been deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan, and missed the birth of his youngest twins.
A military dad got to meet his youngest set of twins for the first time after being deployed for 9 months.

Danielle and Phillip were high school sweethearts who got married in 2008. In 2009, Phillip went to Iraq for 12 months. Their first set of twins were born in 2011, and the family was only together for 3 months before he was deployed for another year to Afghanistan.
He was able to come home for two weeks to celebrate the twins’ first birthdays. February 2013 they found out they were expecting another set of twins, and he was deployed yet again September 2013. Shockingly, just one week later, the second set of twins were born.

So how did Danielle manage without her husband? She said on Kathie Lee & Hoda that it’s all about a schedule. She said they go through their daily routine and without it they wouldn’t have been able to survive. She said she and her husband Facetime every morning, even though there’s a 12-hour time difference, meaning his night is their day.
The older twins saw their dad nine months ago, but the youngest have yet to meet him.

The oldest twins couldn’t believe their eyes when their dad walked in. Even Kathie Lee was brought to tears. Kathie Lee and Hoda also brought out Phillip’s parents, who were just as excited to see their son.
But as for Phillip’s future plans, he said he doesn’t know yet. He explained that he’s been deployed every year since 2009, but hopes that he’s home for at least a year now. As Kathie Lee and Hoda pointed out, just one child is difficult enough, but imagine taking care of four under the age of three. Danielle is an amazing mom and we can only hope she gets some good quality time with her husband and as a family.
