Kathie Lee & Hoda: Screen Actor’s Guild Awards
Kathie Lee & Hoda welcomed Tim Stack from Entertainment Weekly for Today’s Buzz, the segment where the latest and greatest in entertainment news is discussed. Last night’s Screen Actor’s Guild Awards may have been a bit boring, but there were still a few shocking surprises.
Despite director Ben Affleck being snubbed by the Oscars, Argo continues its winning streak. The film won Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture at the SAG Awards, which in the past has been a big indicator for the Academy Awards. Argo is currently the front runner for Best Picture.
On the television front, Downton Abbey shocked everyone by winning Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a TV Series. The popular British historical drama knocked out Homeland, which has been claiming awards left and right since its 2011 premiere.
Today’s Buzz: Chris Brown Frank Ocean Fight
Chris Brown just can’t stay out of trouble, can he? This weekend, the volatile singer allegedly got into a fight with fellow musician Frank Ocean outside of a studio. Ocean, who is nominated for multiple Grammys this year, tweeted about an injury to his hand.
Today’s Buzz: Hansel & Gretel Tops Box Office
Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters topped the box office this weekend, but overall, it was a very slow weekend for new movies. In other movie news, Fruitvale won the Grand Jury and Audience Award at this year’s Sundance Film Festival. The indie drama stars Michael B. Jordan and Oscar winner Octavia Spencer.

Later, Sara Haines stopped by for her weekly segment, What the What? Sara joined Kathie Lee & Hoda to show off some of this week’s best, most hilarious viewer-submitted pictures, including one of a restaurant sign that read “Practice Safe Lunch, Use Condiments.”
