Kathie Lee & Hoda: Donald Sutherland in Crossing Lines
Donald Sutherland has been in around 170 films in his lifetime and now he is moving over to television. He is starring in the new series Crossing Lines, where he plays an inspector helping an elite team of experts solve crimes all over Europe.
He said one of the main focuses of the first few episodes is on the women of Kosovo and how Interpol handles the situation there. There is one part in the show where people are questioning the use of Interpol to solve crimes against these women but Interpol will not let anyone solve the problem because they do not want to make certain people look bad.
“They can’t get a permission to study the crimes,” said Sutherland of how Interpol is portrayed in the show.
Sutherland said he fell in love with the show because of the writing. It was so good that he had to accept the role when it was offered. He also commented that the show is about people who use their intelligence and ability to observe to solve these crimes. He called it an “observational series.”

Donald Sutherland stopped by the fourth hour of the Today Show to talk about his role in Crossing Lines and reveal there will be no 24 movie.
