Kathie Lee & Hoda: Trace Adkins Apprentice Finale
Country all-star Trace Adkins will be competing in the All-Star Celebrity Apprentice finale with magician Penn Jillette. Trace is confident in his ability to win Donald Trump’s reality show. He said of fellow competitor Penn Jillette, “Well, I’ll win, but he’ll make a good showing.”
Trace said that he had not originally wanted to compete on the show, but he thought he would win, so he went for it. He said that he and Penn have known each other for years and respect each other’s careers by attending each other’s shows. Trace joked with Kathie Lee and Hoda that he and Penn just pretend to like each other, like Kathie Lee and Hoda do. When the girls were surprised by his blunt joke, he said, “You’re both always drunk anyways,” which garnered much laughter from Kathie Lee, Hoda and the audience.
Kathie Lee & Hoda: Trace Adkins’ New Album
In his career, Trace Adkins has sold more than 10 million albums and his newest, Love Will… will be his 11th studio album. Love Will… is a collection of love songs, “But keep in mind I’m the guy that thinks ‘Honky Tonk Badonkadonk’ is a love song,” Trace said.
He mentioned to his male fans that he thinks this album is a “deal closer” for any country guys out there and suggested, “if this doesn’t close the deal, think about moving on.”
Kathie Lee & Hoda: Trace Adkins Hates Hawaii
Trace knows a little something about love, having been married to his wife for 16 years. They recently went on a honeymoon to Hawaii, which did not seem to impress Trace all that much.
“I could go to Destin … and not have to fly 15 hours for trees and sand,” he said of his trip to Maui. But he does love his wife and that love can be heard through his new album of love songs. Trace performed a song from Love Will… entitled “Say No To A Woman,” a slow but powerful ballad about never being able to say no to the woman he loves.
