Rob Shuter: Tom and Katie Divorcing

Rob Shuter talked the weekend entertainment news you may have missed, including Tom & Katie divorcing, Alec Baldwin getting married and more.
Rob Shuter said that Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes are divorcing and said it is a really interesting divorce and as it goes on it’s going to get more interesting. Katie filed for divorce on Friday. Shuter said what is shocking to a lot of people is Tom Cruise did not leave his movie set in Iceland and rush back and try to save this marriage. Many people saying he was blindsided by this, but were surprised he did not fly back to save it.
Katie Holmes has moved into a new apartment in Chelsea and there are lots of press there and NY Post said people from the Scientology Center are following Holmes and monitoring her. They say this is not true and it isn’t happening, but reporters have said they seen them there. After 7 years, Katie Holmes fired her PR people and returned to the people that made her famous before she met Tom Cruise. Rob Shuter said that he feels like she is going to a time before she met Tom. Shuter said we are going to see an ugly fight over custody of their daughter, Suri.
Rob Shuter: Alec Baldwin Marriage
Rob Shuter said that Alec Baldwin got married to Hilaria Thomas on Saturday. Shuter said Baldwin really enjoyed himself and there are photographs of him walking down the streets and enjoying time with fans and he had no problems with the press. The day of the wedding was a blissful day. Shuter said Baldwin has sold the pictures from the wedding to People magazine, which is ironic because he has had run-ins with the paparazzi.
Rob Shuter: Ted Wins Weekend Box Office
Rob Shuter said that Ted, the movie with the teddy bear with a filthy mouth, won the weekend box office over Magic Mike. Shuter said both were good movies.
