Kathie Lee & Hoda: Plaza Ambush Makeover April 11 2013
It is Thursday again, which means it is time for another Plaza Ambush Makeover segment. I don’t know if this one beats the grandma edition of Plaza Ambush Makeover, but it is still pretty good. Louis Licari and Jill Martin said they found two very deserving women in the audience who were in desperate need of a makeover.

Kathie Lee and Hoda brought two women off the plaza to take part in Plaza Ambush Makeovers and dressed the women in a Maggy London dress and London Times dress.
Terri was the first woman they chose for the makeover and she was more than excited. She told Kathie Lee and Hoda she lost 90 pounds this past year and she is looking for a new hairstyle to go with her new body. She was also hoping to get some wardrobe tips because she has no idea how to dress herself in her new, slim body.
When Terri came out from backstage, she looked stunning. Licari shortened her hair just slightly and added some red as well. He said he went with a short shag cut for her hair because it would add thickness to her hair and the bangs acted as an “accent area.”
As for the dress, Jill Martin said they had to find something perfect because Terri hadn’t worn a dress or heels in over 20 years, so she found a green wrap dress from London Times that will be perfect for her in case she continues to lose weight.

Laura was the second woman to be picked from the audience and this 28-year-old told Kathie Lee and Hoda she only wears makeup on special occasions so she was pretty nervous to get a makeover.
When Laura talked with Jill Martin she said she was really surprised about being picked but she was excited about the makeover coming just days before her birthday. As she put it, “it is a great time to ring in the last year of my 20s.”
When she came out from backstage, Laura looked like a whole new woman. Her hair was a lot shorter and Licari said he had to give Laura a bob cut because her face was perfect for it. It was sleek and shiny and complimented her minimal amount of makeup. As for her new birthday dress from Maggy London, Jill Martin said she wanted to find her something fun and colorful that she can feel good in. While the dress was fun and colorful it only reminded me of Rorschach cards.
