Kristen Bell made you laugh in the movie Forgetting Sarah Marshall, but fasten your seatbelts for the new romantic comedy Hit & Run. Kathie Lee Gifford and Hoda Kotb were joined by Kristen Bell, as she talked about the movie, her fiance Dax Shepard and working with old nudists. Hit & Run opens in theaters on August 22 2012.

Kathie Lee & Hoda were joined by Kristen Bell, as she talked about her movie, Hit & Run, her fiance Dax Shepard & working with old nudists.
In Hit & Run, Kristen Bell stars alongside her real-life fiancé Dax Shepard, who also wrote and co-directed the film and with all the high-speed comedic mayhem, you’ll love to go along for the ride.
Kristen said it is not so much a romantic comedy. It is part Pulp Fiction, part Smokey and the Bandit, part romantic indie. She said Dax wrote this in six weeks and they called up their friends to shoot it with them, like Kristin Chenoweth, Bradley Cooper and Tom Arnold.
The ladies said the movie looked like there were some improvised scenes in it. Kristen said they stuck completely to the script. She said one of Dax’s goals was to write specifically to their strengths. He wrote everyone with such specificity that it just sounded natural.
Kristen Bell: Fiance Dax Shepard
Kristen said it was wonderful working with Dax. She said it seems to shock people all the time, but they love to spend time together. To have an excuse to shoot together and work together was actually a treat.
Kristen Bell: Working With Old Nudists
Hoda said one of her favorite scenes in the movie is when they walk in on some 70-year-olds that are participating in an orgy. Kristen said that everyone knew what was going on, but let’s be honest. You can’t really prepare for a scene like that. Dax never let anyone see what was happening when they were shooting. Kristen said they were nudists and so happy to be there. She said it was so reaffirming.
