Kathie Lee & Hoda: Joe & Nick Manganiello “La Bare”
Joe and Nick Manganiello are brothers that recently came together to create a new documentary that takes you behind the scenes of one of the world’s most popular strip clubs. La Bare is about the club in Dallas, Texas, that even Jenna Bush Hager knew about. Jenna said that being from the Dallas area meant you automatically knew about La Bare because of how famous it is.

Joe Manganiello admitted that he never thought his career would go in the direction that it has, but he’s happy with where he’s at. He explained that people don’t know what being a male dancer is all about and who the guys really are. He said after Magic Mike came out, people just began to scratch the surface of who the men are. Joe said male dancers are people with dreams and families, but people want to dismiss them and think negatively about them.
Hoda pointed out that La Bare used to be more low-end, but has since improved thanks to the new owner.

Nick said the subject of male dancers became more approachable after Magic Mike and said that they always wanted to work together as brothers, so with the success of Magic Mike, this project was a no-brainer. He said it was something no one had done before, so of course they wanted to do it.
Joe explained that when we think about women dancers, it’s usually how women are being objectified and how they don’t come from good backgrounds. He said we don’t have that as much with men in clubs, because they’re having a great time and coming from good backgrounds and good families. He said the perception is usually different.
Kathie Lee & Hoda: Spin the Bottle Game
Before Joe and Nick had to go, Hoda and Jenna played their game of “spin the bottle” with the stars. The first question was whether the men preferred blondes or brunettes. Both Joe and Nick said brunettes. The second question was what was their favorite date spot, and again both brothers said they were restaurant guys.
La Bare will premiere in select theaters Friday June 27.
