Kathie Lee & Hoda talked with Joe Jonas about his new reality singing competition show, The Next, & about a possible Jonas Brothers reunion
Hoda Kotb said The Next is different than the other reality singing competition shows. Joe Jonas said that was what he thought when he signed up for this show. Once they explained the process that they get to work with local artists that do have a big following on YouTube and Facebook and they step into their lives for 72 hours.
They have Gloria Estefan, John Rich, Nelly and Joe that all step into it. Nelly is selling sunglasses at Sunglass Hut and he is babysitting 15 kids while they get them ready.
Joe said they are mentoring them about things in the business. The audience gets to vote for these rounds and then America votes when they get to LA. He said you hang out with Gloria Estefan, John Rich and Nelly and you would think those personalities would clash, but they get along so well.
Joe Jonas: Jonas Brothers Reunion
Kathie Lee and Hoda asked about a Jonas Brothers reunion and Joe Jonas said that is true. He said he is writing new songs with his brothers for a new album and new tour. They haven’t done anything together in three years, even though they have all done their own individual thing during that time. He said they have been in the studio and cranking it out. Joe said they are about to do a show at Radio City in October, which is their first show in a long time.
