Kathie Lee & Hoda: Edward James Olmos 2 Guns Preview

Kathie Lee and Hoda couldn’t stop oozing about the plot of the movie or the large amount of double crosses that go on throughout the narrative of the film, and they wondered if it was these things that drew Edward James Olmos into wanting to play the part, besides, of course, playing in a movie with Denzel and Mark Wahlberg. For Edward, it was mainly the strong story that drew him into the project.
While the movie can be very funny at times, you can probably guess from the title that there is quite a bit of violence in the movie, as well. There is quite a bit of gruesome violence, and Kathie Lee noted that the disturbing part of it all was that a lot of it could probably be true, given how much has been in the news about what has been happening on the border between the U.S. and Mexico.
Today Show: Denzel Washington & Mark Wahlberg On Screen Together
According to Edward James Olmos, Mark Wahlberg and Denzel Washington shared a massive amount of chemistry onscreen with each other during the movie. He noticed a lot of play between the two actors as they dove headfirst into all of the scenes they had together.
Though the movie was quite gruesome, Edward, like Kathie Lee, noted that it is very much rooted in reality. With everything going on with the IRS and Fast & Furious, it seems that telling the good guys and the bad guys apart is becoming increasingly more difficult.
