People Style Watch‘s contributing editor Jill Martin came in with insider beauty secrets from Hollywood’s top makeup artists to show you how to look like a celebrity by sing things you can find around the house. The first trick is for how to fix your summer hair, which Jill said almost always needs help in some capacity. Using a round brush, go to the root and tease it a little bit. Hold the hair up to let it sit and put a hair dryer on the roots pointing slightly down onto the roots, moving it back and forth rapidly to avoid burning your hair. If you have thicker hair, let your hair down after the first step and blow down on top of your hair.
Then, to help maintain color and avoid fading in your hair, rub sunflower oil into your hair. It contains an ultraviolet filter that protects your hair from the sun. Don’t put it at the root, though, because it will make your hair too oily.

The next tip had to do with emulsion products for your hair and to not overuse any of them. If it is clumpy when you put it in your hand, it will be clumpy in your hair, and will not have the desired effect. If you have fine hair, for example, you only need to use a quarter to a dime size of product.

Next up was using Chapstick to maintain a manicure after you get one. Since it has ingredients like aloe and minerals in it, you can use it around your cuticles if they get dry. This technique can be duplicated to help rough feet.
Another way to help maintain your manicure is to squeeze lemon juice onto a dried manicure. The acidic nature of the lemon juice will remove oils and allow the polish to stick to the nail plate better. This can also work before, as well.

To find out what parts of your hair are going to fall when you have it tied up, shake your hair before you go out. That way, you will know what parts of your hair to pin.
To make sure your scalp stays moist, stick a pin in a vitamin E tablet (dry or liquid) and run it along the root of your hair to moisturize your scalp so that you don’t have a dry scalp.

The last tip was to apply banana, honey, and dark sugar to your skin if you have dry skin, and banana, honey and flour to your skin if you have oily skin.
