Kathie Lee & Hoda: How To Find Out If A Guy Is Single
Matthew Hussey, author of How To Get The Guy, came to Kathie Lee & Hoda to give us some tips on how to find out if a guy is single without making things awkward. There is the playful route to take, where, the moment he does something funny or charming, you ask him how many girlfriends he has as a joke. This joke, however, requires a serious answer, where he will tell you if he is single, taken, married, or whatever his relationship status is.
The other route to take is both indirect and assumptive. For example, you may be talking to him and ask him, “how long have you been single for?” It’s assumptive, but will get you what you’re looking for. You can also just be direct, asking him if he’s dating someone or married when he goes to ask for your number. This not only gets you your answer, but raises your integrity, showing him that you don’t pursue someone that is already taken.
Kathie Lee & Hoda: How To Get A Man To Make Plans With You
One woman asked what to do about a man who never seems to make plans with her. She was a big planner, but always found herself waiting on her man to let her know what his plans are. She wanted to know if she should wait on her man to fill her in on his plans, or if she should just go about her plans, not worrying about if he will join in.
Matt said that this isn’t uncommon, because while men typically operate spur of the moment, women are apt to plan things weeks ahead of time. If a woman wants a guy to do more, she should positively reinforce what he is doing whenever he makes plans. She should also value her time more, forcing the man to make a decision on whether he will be joining her for an event weeks or months in the future sooner than later. Make sure to follow through on this, letting him know you’re serious.
