Currently, Wendy Williams has a framed photo of Shia LaBeouf in her office for some reason. But now she is worried about what is going on with the young actor. The audience found the paparazzi photos of him with a ripped shirt next to a police officer. (For more Hot Topics, see what Wendy said about The View.)
He was smoking and being disruptive in a Broadway theatre and had to be muzzled because he would not stop spitting at the officers. Before the incident, he allegedly drank four strawberry margaritas at a Mexican restaurant, which Wendy was surprised would be his drink of choice.
Later, he watched soccer at a bar in Times Square before going to the show. Next, he was approaching women on the street before chasing a homeless man down a sidewalk in a rumored attempt to steal a McDonald’s bag.
Wendy Williams wondered whether there could be an underlying medical reason for his bizarre behavior. She said he is an actor and definitely knows the effort it takes to give a good performance, so why would he disrupt the entertainment, along with everything else he has been up to?
Wendy Williams: Zendaya Quits Aaliyah TV Movie
Wendy Williams said she has been supportive of the proposed Lifetime movie about singer Aaliyah, even though her family thought she was too big a star for a TV movie. Zendaya reached out to Wendy to thank her for supporting her participation in the project.
But now the young actress has pulled out of the movie, possibly due to criticism that she was too light-skinned to portray the late singer. Wendy thought Zendaya was a good choice as compared to Rihanna, for example, because Rihanna’s real life behavior would distract from her performance.
With production on hold, Wendy worried that the movie may never get made. In addition to having to recast the lead role, the production is having trouble getting music rights due to Aaliyah’s family’s objections.
