Wendy Williams: Hot Topics
Wendy Williams kicked off Hot Topics with the story of Shia LaBeouf being arrested in late June 2013 for smoking and yelling in a Broadway theatre during a performance. Plus, Sherri Shepherd and Jenny McCarthy are on their way out the door at The View. Also, Zendaya has decided not to portray Aaliyah in a TV movie about the late singer. Then, what’s next for Lindsay Lohan?
Wendy Show: Comedy Coach Luenelle

Wendy said that she spent her weekend in Los Angeles, where she met with comedy coach Luenelle, who is helping Wendy prepare for her comedy set on July 11 at The Venetian. She is performing a 70-minute stand-up comedy routine, and she said she was happy to get help in preparing for the big event.
Wendy Williams: Sherri Shepherd Leaving The View with Jenny McCarthy
Wendy Williams called the cast changes at The View “gag-worthy” and said she could not wait to talk about it with her audience. Rumor has it that Sherri Shepherd could not come to terms with ABC on a new contract. Meanwhile, Jenny McCarthy claimed she was quitting the show in solidarity.
Wendy said that Jenny is about to marry well. She is engaged to Donnie Wahlberg, so she should be just fine no matter what happens. “Jenny’s reception at The View wasn’t so good,” Wendy said. “I guess she decided to quit before they fired her too,” Wendy started to say before walking it back.
Wendy Show: The View New Hosts?
Whoopi Goldberg is the last woman standing at The View, and Wendy suggested that it may be time for the show to wrap for good. The audience did not seem to agree. But Wendy’s thought was that it could be difficult to introduce three new people at once.
Wendy suggested that they only add one total stranger to the table. She hoped the rumor is true that Rosie O’Donnell might return (or, failing that, Latina actress Rosie Perez). Williams also recommended the return of Star Jones.
Wendy Williams: Men Hosting The View?
Also on Wendy’s list was Leah Remini, who had an opinionated stint on The Talk and is coming soon as a guest on Wendy’s show. Then there is Stacey Dash, best remembered from Clueless, an outspoken Republican who is currently working at Fox News.
What about the rumors that a man may be added to the panel? Wendy and her audience were not keen on this idea. She did not know who former Bachelor contestant Jesse Palmer is. As for potential contender Ross Mathews (“he even talks like a girl”), Wendy said she loves him, but she thinks that the show is meant to be an all-female panel. I guess we’ll have to wait and see what becomes of the show.
