The View: Nicki Minaj vs. Mariah Carey
Barbara Walters recently sat down for an interview with Mariah Carey, which will be airing January 7 2013 on Nightline, to discuss her role on American Idol and to learn what it has been like working with Nicki Minaj.
In a sneak peek of the interview, Walters went straight to the question on everyone’s mind: what happened between her and Nicki Minaj while they were in North Carolina. In a clip from TMZ, both of the woman can be seen and heard yelling at each other while Randy Jackson tries to stop the two from arguing. After walking from the room, Nicki Minaj was allegedly heard saying if she “had a gun, she would shoot” Mariah.

Carey told Walters she was not used to that type of environment, which led her to hire more security. She took the threats as actual threats and was not going to put herself, or her family, in harm’s way. When The View tried to contact Minaj to comment on the story, a representative said Minaj has said everything she has to say on the subject.
But Mariah Carey is going to be sticking it out for American Idol, even after all the fighting. She said it was a great career move for herself and for her children. She said she wants to give back to other people who want to become singers. She acknowledged how fortunate she was to be able to live her dreams out for the better half of her life and she wants to pass that on to other people.

But is there still going to be feuding between the two women?
Barbara seemed to think both woman wanted to put their differences aside, but she also pointed out the two woman are sitting on opposite sides of the judging table. I hope Randy Jackson brushes up on some self defense. I know I would not want to be caught in the middle of that cat fight.
Everyone else on the show thought the arguments between the two women were going to make the show exciting. I guess we will all have to tune in to see how this feud plays out.
