Chris O’Donnell from NCIS: Los Angeles came by The View to talk about the cliffhanger that’s kept fans waiting all summer. The show comes back on Monday nights next year for its sixth season. Chris O’Donnell said that they’ll spend a lot of time in the water on the cliffhanger’s conclusion. “We’re either run out of air or get very wet getting out of there. One of the two,” he said.
The View: Chris O’Donnell G. Callen
Chris O’Donnell said that after five years, he still doesn’t know what his character’s first name is. The character is known as G. Callen. “At some point I’m going to find out what the hell it stands for,” he said. Whoopi said she’d like it if it was just “G.”

Chris O’Donnell just celebrated his 17-year anniversary with his wife. He said that 17 is kind of an off year. He couldn’t remember what they did.
The View: Chris O’Donnell Having A Family
Chris O’Donnell has five kids with his wife and there was a point in his life when he decided he could either go the bachelor route or the family route. He said that he met a woman right when his life was getting crazy in the business and he decided to settle down. “When you meet the right person, you meet the right person,” he said.

Chris O’Donnell has been directing a few episodes of NCIS: Los Angeles and he joked he loves it because he gets to order LL Cool J around. He also said that when you act, you might do something you hope the director keeps, but might not make it in there. As a director, you can definitely make sure it ends up in the final cut.

Chris O’Donnell and his family are going to the Bahamas soon and then they’re going to spend the summer in Maine. He said that flights can be very expensive with his family.

Chris O’Donnell said that if his kids end up wanting to act, that’s fine with him. But he wants them to have options open and he wants them to finish school.
He also said that a lot of kids today aren’t very good sports. He urged parents to have a talk with their kid about this.
