The View: Leann Rimes Spitfire Review
Leann Rimes has a new album out, Spitfire, which is not only her 14th album, but also her most personal. Of the 13 songs on the album, she wrote 13 of them. One of the songs is about her affair and eventual marriage with Eddie Cibrian, and while it was very difficult for her to write, Leann said that the topic was an elephant in the room that she had to clear out, and this song helped her do that, because for Leann, singing things is a lot easier than talking about them for her.

Leann Rimes has been in the tabloids quite a bit lately, one of the most popular topics being her Eddie Cibrian’s ex-wife Brandi Glanville’s not-so-kind words that she had for Leann. The press seems to keep dwelling on Brani, and Leann said that she wished the press would move past it. Leann takes responsibility for her part in the drama, but she thinks that the entire ordeal has gone on for far too long. Leann was happy to hear that Barbara wasn’t going to ask her another question about it.
The View: Leann Rimes “Borrowed”
Leann Rimes has gone on record saying that one of her favorite songs on Spitfire is “Borrowed,” a song written two years ago about her affair with Eddie. “Life’s complicated. Life sucks, sometimes,” said Leann, and growing up in front of the public eye made it very difficult for her to figure out who she was on her own.
She is finally getting to a point, however, that she feels like she is finally growing up and feels at peace with herself. After checking into rehab several years ago for anxiety, she has finally been able to start taking care of herself and her step-kids, who she loves for their level of respect and understanding.
The View: Leann Rimes “A Girl Just Like You”
To close out the show, Leann Rimes performed “A Girl Just Like You” off of Spitfire. The many praises that are sung about her vocals are not unfounded, as that was the undenaible star of the show when she got behind the microphone.
