The Talk hosts couldn’t wait until after the cooking demo to dig in. These cinnamon doughnuts fry in just three minutes. “When I eat these, I literally cry and chew at the same time, because they’re so good,” Santos said.

The recipe uses canned biscuits, which is another reason it is easy to make at home. When you layer on the mascarpone and blueberry jam, you will have a delicious (if not diet-friendly) dessert or breakfast option that will make everyone at your table smile.

- 1 can Pillsbury canned Buttermilk Biscuits
- 2 tbsp Cinnamon Sugar
- Canola Oil
Mascarpone Ingredients
- 1 cup Mascarpone
- 1 tbsp Sugar
- 1 scraped Vanilla Bean
- 2 tbsp Heavy Cream
Preserves Ingredients
- 1 pint Blueberries
- Seeds of 1 Vanilla Bean
- 2 tsp Lemon Juice
- 1 cup Powdered Sugar
Ice Cream Ingredients
- 1 cup Heavy Cream
- 2 Egg Yolks
- 1/2 cup Milk
- 1/3 cup Honey
Jason Santos: The Talk Cinnamon Donuts Recipe with Honey Ice Cream Directions
- Bring cream and milk to a boil in a saucepan for the ice cream.
- Whisk egg yolks in a stainless steel bowl.
- Slowly pour hot liquid into the bowl, whisking constantly.
- Return mixture to the pan on medium heat.
- Stir with a wooden spoon to thicken.
- Take off heat and add honey, adjusting to taste.
- Transfer to a clean bowl
- Chill over ice cubes and cold water; strain.
- Freeze the mixture in an ice cream maker.Fry doughnuts about one to two minutes on each side.
- After draining, toss with cinnamon sugar.
- Mix mascarpone ingredients to a smooth consistency.
- Simmer preserves ingredients on medium to form a jam.
- Serve donuts with ice cream, preserves, mascarpone, mint, and powdered sugar.
