The Talk: Miranda Lambert Sibling Rivalry

The second guest on The Talk was multi-platinum performing artist Miranda Lambert.

The Talk knew she had a brother and they wanted to know there was any sibling rivalry between the two and Lambert said there was. “Everything he touches turns to gold,” said Lambert. “He is smarter than me. He is taller than me. He is cooler than me.” Which makes her rub her awards in his face even more fun whenever she wins one.

Last Thursday, Lambert started her Locked and Reloaded Tour with her friend Dierks Bentley and she is having a blast already. The first few stops they had a hard time working out all the kinks but figured the rest of the tour should go pretty smoothly. “It is like a family reunion,” said Lambert.

The Talk: Miranda Lambert’s Husband Blake Shelton

Lambert’s 30th birthday is coming up later this year and she told everyone she knows to throw her one big party to celebrate her landmark birthday. And she knows her husband Blake Shelton will throw her a big birthday because they will have spent so much time away from each other by that point.

Lambert said she is going to be on tour while Shelton will be in Los Angeles shooting the next season of The Voice, but that won’t stop them from seeing each other. They don’t talk on the phone much but they both love texting and Lambert has a two week rule for their marriage. “We never go more than two weeks without seeing each other,” said Lambert.

So fans should be on the look out for Shelton as he goes to see Lambert while she is on tour. Maybe they will even perform a duet.

The Talk: Miranda Lambert Working with Pedigree Dog Food

Lambert loves animals and has adopted six dogs in the past few years. She is even working with Pedigree dog food on the Pedigree Feeding Project, a project that will select one animal shelter in America and pay for all the food for an entire year. Lambert said anyone can nominate their own city and animal shelter to win the prize, saying they have already helped a shelter in Nashville and Chicago.

“We have helped shelter’s save over $100,000 by not buying food,” said Lambert.

The Talk: Miranda Lambert Voted Most Desirable Neighbor

Miranda Lambert and husband, Blake Shelton, were recently voted the most desirable neighbors to live next to, an accolade Lambert said she didn’t know she won until today. But she agreed. Although she doesn’t have any neighbors near her home in Oklahoma, the nearest Walmart being 20 miles away. Lambert said they would be the best neighbors if they had some.

One the other hand, Honey Boo Boo was voted the least desirable neighbor to live next door to, but Lambert didn’t think so. “They would have so much good food,” said Lambert. “They are a nice family and they might be a little backwards but she is good mom and they all love each other.”

I’m pretty sure she was just sticking up for Honey Boo Boo because she dressed up as the little girl for Halloween last year.

Miranda Lambert fans will be excited to find out she is performing at the Grammy Awards next month and possibly taking home an award for Best Country Album.

Lambert has a lot on her plate with her tour coming up, performing at the Grammy’s and she is released the second album with her other band, Pistol Annies, later this year.

The band, which consists of Lambert, Ashley Monroe and Angaleena Presley, is sassy according to Lambert. “We started writing country, housewife songs,” said Lambert, one of them being titled “Hell on Heels.”

Before she left The Talk, Lambert had some advice for Valentine’s Day all woman should heed. “Don’t be scared to wear Spanx,” said Lambert. “You can turn the lights down when you get home and have to take them off.”
