Comedian Margaret Cho is no stranger to controversy. But on her appearance on The Talk February 5 2013, she was bleeped out several times for her comments. The first section of her interview was so bleeped, it was hard to follow what was being said.
The Talk: Margaret Cho Aisha Tyler High School
Margaret Cho went to high school with The Talk host Aisha Tyler and said she took issue with the photo shown earlier in the program, because she always thought Aisha Tyler was beautiful. She remembered specifically a time at a dance when Aisha looked particularly good.
Aisha Tyler said that was her Pretty In Pink moment in high school and she only looked that good the one time.
The Talk: Margaret Cho Grammy Nomination
Margaret Cho has been nominated for a Best Comedy Album Grammy for the second year in a row. She said she was in Germany and found out about it. She said she thought it was a mistake, because she didn’t think she could be nominated two years in a row.
The Talk: Margaret Cho vs. Kathy Griffin
Sharon Osbourne asked Margaret Cho how badly she wanted to win the Grammy and what she would do to win it. Margaret Cho asked if she meant Tanya Harding bad.
Margaret Cho said that she didn’t care who won, as long as it was herself or Kathy Griffin, because a woman has not won that award since 1985. She said that a woman needs to win it.
The Talk: Margaret Cho Edgy Show
Margaret Cho has said in the past that her new show, “Mother,” is her edgiest show to date. When asked what that meant, Margaret Cho talked about exploring her lady parts and how she didn’t understand them because they were made in Korea in the 1960s and didn’t come with an instruction manual.
Sara Gilbert said she certainly was giving The Talk its edgiest show to date.

Julie Chen said that since the show is called, “Mother,” was her mother in it a lot and did her mother mind?
Margaret Cho said that in Asian culture, as women become older, they start to lose their value and sort of fade away. She said she was fighting this by propping up her mother and keeping her in the spotlight.
The Talk: Margaret Cho Not Really Korean
Margaret Cho learned recently that she’s actually Chinese, not Korean. Julie Chen and Margaret Cho joked that they could be related.
