The Talk: Tori Spelling & Jennie Garth Madonna
Tori Spelling and Jennie Garth came by The Talk to discuss their new show Mystery Girls. But first, Sharon Osborne asked them about a recent controversy where Madonna was brought in for Jury Duty, but dismissed after just 90 minutes and while waiting in a separate special room with an entourage. Would Jennie and Tori want Madonna for a juror?

Jennie Garth said she wouldn’t, even though she loved Madonna. She also said she thought either way Madonna was in trouble, because people know where to find her. Tori Spelling said that she didn’t think Madonna should’ve even come in, because the lawyers weren’t going to pick her anyway and the whole thing was just distracting.

Tori Spelling and Jennie Garth, of course, are most famous for starring together on Beverly Hills, 90210 together. Sara Gilbert asked them what it was like becoming famous at such a young age. Tori Spelling said it wasn’t until she got older that she realized how crazy it was. Jennie Garth also said it was weird because they both had bodyguards and couldn’t go anywhere without them.
Tori Spelling said that she never kept anything from the show, but one time a fan gave her a dress she wore on the show. Tori said she kept the dress, but never wore it again.

Jennie Garth said that her 17-year-old daughter just came home wearing mom jeans and she couldn’t believe it. She said they’re real mom jeans from the ’90s and her daughter likes them.

Sheryl Underwood asked which of the men on 90210 had the most swag. Tori Spelling said, “Matt from the Peach Pitt.” She also said Jason and Luke were up there with the sideburns.

Tori Spelling said that she’s working on improving her marriage with her husband, who famously had an affair, chronicled on Tori Spelling’s reality show. Tori Spelling said they’re trying to focus on their family and moving forward and healing.

On their new show, Jennie Garth and Tori Spelling play actresses who starred in a ’90s detective show and reunite later to become real detective. The idea of the sitcom is them using their TV detective skills in real life.
Jennie said that she and Tori have a really strong bond and so it’s nice to be on a show together.
The Talk: Tori Spelling Kids
Tori Spelling said that her kids love hanging out with Jennie Garth’s kids. Tori’s kids also love being on set and playing with the disguises and wigs. Jennie Garth also said that Ru Paul guest starred on the show and taught their kids how to do a runway walk in front of the live audience.
The Talk: Mystery Girls 90210 Reference?
Tori Spelling said that the new show has a lot of winks to 90210, including one episode in which Tori and Jennie go undercover and go back to high school. The episode is a nod to the 90210 episode “Donna Martin Graduates.”

Then Tori Spelling and Jennie Garth played a quiz game where they had to quiz the famous detective duo from history. To play the game, they both had to wear velro headbands and put the pictures of the detectives on their heads whose identity they had to guess. They were really good at the game, even though I didn’t know a lot of the detectives myself.
