For eight seasons, Steven Weber was a pilot on the comedy Wings. Now his skies are a bit darker as he plays a pilot again, and this time his character is mixed up in a mystery on Murder in the First. Weber visited The Talk to discuss the twisted story.
In a clip from the show, even his character’s wife is unsure whether or not he was involved in a homicide. He took a seat at the table to catch up with the women, who were won over by his charm.

Aisha Tyler asked Steven Weber about Jamie Dornan’s story that he does not like his body. Weber said that either the other actor is fishing for compliments or chose a line of work that is only going to exacerbate his insecurities.
Weber began his acting career at age 5, and by 1985, he got his big break on the CBS soap As the World Turns. Sheryl Underwood credited him with starting a trend, as the first male character to sport an earring.
But in the years since, his piercing has healed, but it’s still visible enough for his sons to mock. Guest co-host Marie Osmond offered to let Weber put on one of her earrings.

Steven Weber’s sons, Jack and Alfie, are 11 and 13. Julie Chen recalled him describing the boys as “money pirate hobbit drunks.” Is that still true? It sounds like the young men have gotten more into music. The brothers did have to find a way to settle a debt between them recently, however.

For eight seasons, Weber played Captain Brian Hackett in Wings. Sara Gilbert asked what made him choose to play a pilot again. Steven Weber said that there is an interesting connection in that his co-pilot is portrayed by Sam Daly, the son of his Wings co-star Tim Daly.

“What drew me to it was that Steven Bochco created the series,” Weber said of Murder in the First, listing the creator’s past great stories and series. As a TV pilot, Aisha Tyler wondered whether anything strange has ever happened to him on a plane.
He said that he was once on a flight that was delayed due to Cher, who sat next to him on the plane.
