The Talk: Goran Visnjic Extant

Actor Goran Visnjic came by The Talk to discuss his new show Extant, which costars Halle Berry. The new show is about Halle Berry’s character, who is married to Goran Visnjic’s character and spends a year in space. But mysteriously, she comes back pregnant. Meanwhile, the two also have an android son created by Goran’s character. Aliens and robots? I personally think this might be a little too much, but we’ll have to find out for sure when it airs on ABC July 9, 2014.

In the meanwhile, Goran Visnjic had plenty to say about the new show. He said the show is about the two of them trying to reconnect and dealing with the weird news of her being pregnant after coming back from the solo mission.

He also said that the robot son storyline also has plenty of interesting topics like how the legal system will treat him and whether a robot can really feel. Aisha Tyler said that the show is also about a couple that couldn’t conceive their own child and so they built their own child. Aisha said that’s something everyone can relate to. Sharon Osborne said that everyone can also relate to batteries.

“I know what you’re talking about, Mrs. O,” Sheryl Underwood said.

Goran Visnjic said that working with Halle Berry was awesome. He said she was a really hard worker. They’d have a 12 hour day and Halle Berry would take breaks to breastfeed her new baby. He said somehow she was always in a good mood.

The Talk: Goran Visnjic Steven Spielberg

Steven Spielberg is also the executive producer of the show and Goran Visnjic said that when he saw the script that said Speilberg and Halle Berry’s name on it, he couldn’t believe it. He also said that he thinks it’s awesome that Speilberg has had so much experience in so many different genres, from E.T. to Schindler’s List.
