The Talk: Famke Janssen Dog
Famke Janssen came by The Talk to discuss her Netflix show Hemlock Grove. First, she told everyone about the special person in her life that she’s been with for over a decade. His name is Licorice and he’s a dog. Famke said that her dog is gay and he has a secret life separate from her. The dog turns 14 in September.

Famke Janssen grew up in The Netherlands and she moved to New York when she started modeling. She said that she grew up with American movies and because they were much more violent than the movies she was used to. So when she came to New York for the first time at 19, she was put in the fanciest hotel in the fanciest neighborhood of New York. But she had no idea that was the case. She’d seen all these movies with people with guns and stuff, so she was petrified of leaving her hotel. She said she saw someone on the street reaching for their wallet and she thought they were going to pull a gun.
The Talk: Famke Janssen Goldeneye
Famke Janssen, of course, played Xenia Onatopp in Goldeneye. She said that they had a royal premiere in London and Prince Charles was there. She was standing outside and waiting to meet Prince Charles and she didn’t know it was all going to be filmed and projected on the big screen in the theater. When he leaned in to hug her, he asked her who she played. “And I go, I play Xenia Onatopp. I squeeze men to death between my thighs. His reaction apparently was like, ‘What?’ The entire audience was just howling with laughter,” she said.

In the Netflix series Hemlock Grove, Famke Janssen plays a woman who married into a rich family in a small town that she called Twin Peaks–esque. A murder takes place in the town and there are a lot of suspects. There’s a bunch of complicated relationships, including one between Famke’s character and her son.
