The Doctors: ShaToBu Body Toning Underwear & Foods to Burn Pounds

The ShaToBu is underwear looks a bit like pantyhose that go up to right underneath The Doctors TV Show ShaToBuyour bra and go down to right above your knee.  They are supposed to help smooth out your figure and tone your muscles by creating 10 pounds of resistance.  When you walk up and down stairs, you get even more resistance and even better results.  A study showed that you burn 12% more calories when you wear the ShaToBu and do normal everyday activities.

How Does ShaToBu Work?

ShaToBu Body Toning Underwear works because of the ribbing in the garment, which is made of resistance bands that put more pressure on your muscles.  Dr Travis Stork thinks that the idea of putting on underwear and thinking it will change your world can be questionable but, if you combine it with a regular workout routine, it can’t hurt.  Dr Lisa Masterson said she likes it and that it is really made for women so, if Dr Travis doesn’t understand it, that is ok!  Dr Lisa said you might not want to wear ShaToBu everyday all day, because it can potentially trap in liquids.  And the best part of all is that everyone in The Doctors TV Show Audience got one for free!

Calcium Helps You Lose Twice As Much

Dr Travis Stork said that if you have a diet that includes milk, whole grain cereal, and oats, you can increase the weight that you lose.  A study found that if you get 1200-1300 mg of calcium in your food daily, through eating foods like cheese, yogurt, and milk, you can lose twice as much as those without calcium in their diet.  Plus, the complex carbs and fiber in the whole grain cereal and oats help you to feel full longer and to burn your food more slowly.  Finally, the combination of milk and protein requires your body to burn more energy in order to digest it.

Coffee Burns More Calories

Dr Lisa Masterson said that the caffeine in coffee helps to burn calories.  Plus, green tea helps to prevent some cancers.  So your drink of choice (outside of water) should be coffee or green tea.

Capsaicin Increases Metabolism & Cures Ulcers

Dr Andrew Ordon said that habanera peppers, chili peppers, and cayenne pepper are all excellent because the capsaicin in the peppers helps to increase your metabolic rate and stimulate your heart, which helps you to burn more calories.  In The Doctors 5-Minute Health Fixes, they also mention that capsaicin is good for ulcers, and even for your love life!

High Protein Diets Burn More Calories

Dr Jim Sears said that a study was done where one group of patients were put on a high protein diet and another group was put on a high carb diet.  The group on the high protein diet burned twice as many calories.  Also, by eating fish, you get omega 3 oils which boost your metabolism!
