The Drs: Losing Weight The Right Way
The Doctors shared that a woman named Diana struggled with her weight for years, but she had big plans for changing her struggle with her body. Diana shared that she grew up always being heavy. She met her husband when she was 18 and when they got married, her dress had to be taken out and was a size 20. She said she can look back on the photos of herself and see that she wasn’t happy with herself, and her self-confidence was really low. She said she felt like a prisoner in her own body.

Diana got pregnant about a year after she got married, and then got pregnant again seven months later. It was during her second pregnancy that she had high blood pressure and borderline gestational diabetes. She said the thought that what she was doing to her body was possibly harming her unborn child, made her sick and so she said enough was enough.
She stepped on the scale and it said 285. She cut out processed food and began exercising, and the weight gradually kept coming off. In nine months, she ran her first half marathon and a few months after that she hit her 100-pound weight loss goal. She said she now loves being healthy and knows she’ll never go back to the way she used to be.

Diana shared that her big wake up call was when she saw her brother come back from a trip to Africa during which he had lost 100 pounds. She said that seeing him made her realize that “genetics was not a cop out” for her. She said she knew if her brother could do it, she could do it.
Dr Drew Ordon said Diana lost the weight the right way, which speaks for how great she looks and feels. Dr Rachael Ross then shared that ModCloth gave Diana a $2,000 gift card so that she could have an all-new wardrobe to match her great new look.
