Meet The Doctors
Since its debut in 2008, The Doctors has brought you the latest and greatest in medical news. The popular, award-winning daytime talk show covers it all, from embarrassing health questions and new procedures to incredible medical advancements and beyond. Expect the unexpected on The Doctors, from celebrity guests to informative fun.
You already know that The Doctors is the best place for medical information on TV, but how much do you know about the “docs” themselves? The Doctors are Dr. Travis Stork, Dr. Jim Sears, Dr. Lisa Masterson and Dr. Andrew Ordon. Each is an expert in his or her field, and each is a dedicated medical professional completely committed to helping patients and audiences alike.
The Doctors: Dr. Travis Stork
Dr. Travis Stork, a practicing board-certified emergency medicine physician, graduated with honors from Duke University and the University of Virginia. Dr. Stork had his first taste of television when he appeared on The Bachelor. Although that experience didn’t result in lasting love (he’s now happily married to Dr. Charlotte Brown), it did teach Dr. Travis that television is the greatest, quickest method for helping millions every day.
It’s now Dr. Travis’ goal to empower viewers with the vital health and wellness information they need each day. He’s a lover of sports and athletics and believes strongly in maintaining a fit and healthy lifestyle. Dr. Travis is also the author of books such as The Doctor Is In: A 7-Step Prescription for Optimal Wellness.
The Doctors: Dr. Jim Sears
Playful pediatrician Dr. Jim Sears is often the butt of many jokes on The Doctors set, but he’s a knowledgeable health professional dedicated to helping children and families everywhere. The board-certified pediatrician earned his medical degree at St. Louis University School of Medicine, and later completed his pediatric residency at Northeastern Ohio University College of Medicine and Tod Children’s Hospital in Youngstown, Ohio. During his residency, Dr. Sears received the honor of “Emergency Medicine Resident of the Year,” and he continues this great work at his practice in Capistrano Beach, California.
Dr. Sears is a father of two and, like Dr. Travis, is an avid outdoorsman. He’s co-authored several books including The Healthiest Kid in the Neighborhood.
The Doctors: Dr. Lisa Masterson
The only female doctor on the show, Dr. Lisa Masterson, represents her gender brilliantly each day on The Doctors. In addition to her private practice in Santa Monica, California, the board-certified specialist in obstetrics, gynecology, infertility, adolescent gynecology and family planning is a staff member at Los Angeles’ Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, St. John’s Hospital in Santa Monica and UCLA. Dr. Lisa has also traveled the world for her charity, Maternal Fetal Care International, which provides healthcare and support for pregnant women in impoverished regions.
Dr. Lisa lives in Southern California with her son. When she isn’t appearing on television, treating patients or advocating for women’s health, she enjoys surfing and learning French.
The Doctors: Dr. Andrew Ordon
Plastic surgeon Dr. Andrew Ordon is a native of Chicago, Illinois and a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of the University of California at Irvine. Dr. Ordon holds private practices in both Beverly Hills and Rancho Mirage, California. He’s currently an assistant professor of plastic surgery at both Dartmouth School of Medicine and The University of Connecticut.
Among his many achievements, Dr. Ordon is also a founding member of the Surgical Friends Foundation, which aids patients all around the world. He and his wife have two children, both of whom are pursuing careers in medicine. Dr. Ordon enjoys sports and traveling in his spare time.
