The Drs: Jail Time For Running Revenge Website
The Doctors reported that a judge has sentenced the person responsible for a revenge website to 18 years in prison. Authorities say his website allowed users to upload exclusive private photos of women without their permission, and the women had to pay as much as $350 to have the photos removed. His name is Kevin Bollaert and he will spend at least nine years behind bars before he’s eligible for parole. Prosecutors say detectives recovered more than 10,000 unique internet addresses from Bollaert’s computer.
Dr Rachael Ross said if you think about it, those women’s lives are ruined. Dr Drew Ordon said “this is a wake-up call for all you scumbags out there that are considering doing this.”
The Drs: Honey Boo Boo Intervention Update
The Doctors then reminded everyone of the health intervention they held for Alana, otherwise known as Honey Boo Boo. At the time, her mother, Mama June, said that her daughter wasn’t overweight because she eats all the time, but it was actually because of her medications for her respiratory issues. The Doctors made it clear that dietary and lifestyle changes had to be made in order to turn Alana’s life around because she was an obese 9-year-old.
So how are Alana and her family doing? Jeanne B. McDaniel, the certified Leap specialist who helped their family, explained that they needed to eat more whole foods and less processed foods. She suggested they make half their plate fruits and vegetables, and enjoy at least 30 minutes of exercise every day. When she first met with Alana, one of the first things she changed was her drinking chocolate milk every day at school. She also took away fried foods and replaced them with baked foods.
Jeanne said getting Alana to exercise was difficult, but the main goal was trying to make it fun.
The Drs: Healthy Eating
The Doctors then welcomed Alana and June back to the show. June said Jeanne is very supportive and has helped them a lot. Alana said she was enjoying the healthier food that she’s been eating, and Dr Jennifer Ashton and Dr Travis Stork shared that they had another recipe they wanted Alana to try. They shared Dr Stork’s recipe for festive fish tacos, which you can find below.
Alana tried them and really liked them! Then, Dr Stork said he knew that Alana didn’t like greens very much, so he showed that she could cook some green beans with a little bit of coconut and spices in order to give them flavor. You could even enjoy them cold or warm, whichever you prefer.
Dr Stork was also excited to share his peanut butter bliss recipe, as well as the rest of the update on Honey Boo Boo!
