The Doctors TV Show was themed “How To Shape Up Your Health” today, and one of their guests was Alicia Silverstone, actress and author of The Kind Diet: A Simple Guide to Feeling Great, Losing Weight, and Saving the Planet. Silverstone told The Doctors that she had a whole bunch of health problems including cystic acne and asthma, but everything became better when she went on a vegan diet (called The Kind Diet).

You are probably thinking what I was thinking – a Vegan Diet? While that sounds healthy, it also sounds nearly impossible for us carnivores. But I have to say that Alicia Silverstone’s Toasted Nori Burritos looked great. Silverstone said that all of the recipes in her book are clean, plant based foods. And you can take baby steps, you do not have to jump straight into a full-fledged Vegan Diet without flirting with it a little bit first. The Kind Diet Rice Krispie Treat Recipe
Alicia Silverstone even brought with her a vegan dessert that sounds delicious. She remade a Rice Krispie Treat by using brown rice krispies and brown rice syrup to sweeten it. Silverstone said that brown rice sugar is a great alternative to sugar, because it does not spike your blood sugar like regular white sugar does.
