Susan talked to The Doctors about losing her hair due to menopause. She said that her hair used to be very thick and it’s getting gradually thin. What should she do about it? Menopause is a time when a lot of women start to lose their hair. It’s caused by the fluctuation in their hormone levels.
Dr. Rachael said that Susan should increase the Omega 3 fatty acids that she’s taking in. Dr. Rachael recommended the “Menopause Main Sandwich.” It was basically just a tuna sandwich. Dr. Jennifer Berman added that she should also eat apples because it’s got B3 and apple pectin, which are helpful for hair growth.

Dr. Jennifer Berman went to the dentist to see if she can fix her front teeth. Her top front teeth were crooked. The dentist, Dr. Bill Dorfman, explained that as we age, there is space lost in the mouth. The dentist went over several options for Dr. Berman and took molds of her teeth.
Then orthodontist Dr. Dan Graer went over the molds they made and discussed the braces they wanted to fit her with. Dr. Berman said that watching the video made her very nervous. She was worried about the braces causing a lisp and how it would affect her dating life.

Dr. Grauer explained that more and more adults are getting braces. In the U.S. and Canada, there’s over 1.2 million adults in braces. Lingual braces are used for both teens and adults. They’re also behind the teeth, so they’re completely invisible. Dr. Rachael wondered if it’ll cut your tongue.
Dr. Grauer said that it’s like having a pair of really great-fitting shoes. You’re going to feel them for a few days, but after that they become a part of your life. He said many people have braces and have normal lives and keep their social lives going. Dr. Berman ultimately decided to do it.
