The Doctors: New Non-Invasive Treatment For Getting Rid Of Fat
Denise is 43 and a mother of three who lost most of the weight from her pregnancies, but not all of it. Some of the fat stubbornly remained around her stomach and she said sometimes, it spills over the side of her jeans. She reached out to The Doctors for help. “There’s just more of my tummy than I’d like there to be,” she said.

The Doctors set her up with Dr. Michael Brucker, who introduced her to a new, non-invasive treatment option for getting rid of unwanted body fat. Dr. Michael Brucker said that a lot of patients have stubborn areas that won’t budge, but they’re not interested in surgery. This procedure is simple and easy to do, so it’s perfect for a woman like Denise, who’s a mother of three and might not have time to recover from invasive surgery like liposuction.
The Doctors: What Is TruSculpt?
The device is called the TruSculpt device, which is basically a little heating pad that is applied right onto the belly. No topical anesthesia is necessary. The heat injures the fat cells to the point where, over the course of the following several weeks, the body takes the fat cells away.
Our bodies are in a constant state of building and removing fat cells. This treatment is a non-invasive way of getting rid of those fat cells. The device uses radio frequency heat, which also comes with a certain degree of skin contraction with that. It almost always takes two treatments per area. Dr. Brucker said that as long as patients stay healthy and watch their nutrition, this treatment should be permanent.
The Doctors: What Weight Loss Treatment Is Best For Me?
Dr. Andrew Ordon said that patients should have discussions with their board-certified plastic surgeon on what treatment is the best for them. More invasive methods can be very expensive and cost a lot of time for recovery. Those methods, however, might be better for the patient.
TruSculpt takes only about 30 to 45 minutes per area to treat and the patient is allowed to get up and go about their day afterward. One concern Denise had was when to know working out and eating well wouldn’t eliminate the fat she wanted to get rid of. She said she wanted something like this that would compliment the efforts she was already doing.
